We want to hear your stories of "Bagology". Chase Bag Co was a large factory in the mid 1900's. Many local families have memories or working or a parent or friend working at Chase Bag Co.
The term “bagology” was coined during this period, meaning “to elevate the production of bags to the level of science.”
This building has four floors and we would love to hear real people accounts of the day to day happenings in the operation of the business.
We are collecting stories to enhance our historical museum! We would love to hear from local or former locals who worked at Chase Bag Co, or had family who worked at Chase Bag Co. If you lived in the neighborhood and you knew people who worked at Chase Bag Co while in operation, we want to hear from you!
Tell us your memories of Chase Bag Co, whether the good years when it was a thriving Goshen business or about when times turned and the decline lead to it's eventual closing.
We want to hear stories of people meeting here, falling in love, raising their families in Goshen. We want to hear from those who played in the yards around the building. We want to hear about the railway and its part in the business and community.
In short, we want to hear any story you want to tell us about Chase Bag Co! We will compile and display information in our Historical Museum on the Second Floor and use them on the website and social media so others can know how important this place was.
Contact us through email or social media with your story so we can document them for visitors!
