The Old Bag Factory is proud to continue hosting the monthly FREE kids event called Creative Kids! Every month, we setup activities in many stores and halls for kids to make and take art and craft projects. We often have cool art demonstrations as well.
Next month is no different! We will have Clay Play at Goertzen Pottery, Tiny Timbers play in Legacy Home Furniture, Virtual Reality and Elkhart Art League Projects on the second floor and craft projects at Pop-Handicrafts! You can even get a kids lunch at the Trolley Cafe!
The event runs from 11am - 2pm on November 11th.And even though the stations may close at 2, the stores will remain open until 5pm!

Virtual Reality has made a permanent home in the Old Bag Factory! For the last several months, the virtual reality system was for the Kids' Robotic Club the fourth Saturday on every month and the club members did demonstrations of Virtual Reality for Creative Kids day taking place the second Saturday of every month.
Virtual Reality creates an immersive world for you to step into as soon as you put on the glasses. It is fun for spectators too as everything the player sees is projected onto a screen. Experiences for exploration include scuba diving, ancient tomb and cave, etc. Other experiences include escape rooms, and video games. The possibilities are endless.

It's the third annual Fall Harvest Festival at the Old Bag Factory! Presented by Amanda Gobble, this festival will incorporate 'the sights, sounds, and smells of the fall season." Amanda is owner of Pop-Up Handicrafts, located on the North side of the building adjacent to the event area, and coordinator of The Spring Craft Show, The Summer Festival and The Handmade Holiday Show, all taking place at the Old Bag Factory!
On Saturday, October 14th, from 9 - 3, visit the Old Bag Factory for specialty and craft vendors on multiple levels of the building! Parking is free, and admission is free! You can also shop all the local shops residing in the Old Bag Factory, like Goertzen Pottery (recently a part of the Michiana Pottery Tour), Legacy Home Furniture (A LaZBoy Comfort Studio), Gamze Neer Exclusive Jewelry Boutique, Second Song Musical Instruments and OBF Mercantile. Restaurants open in the Old Bag Factory are the Trolley Cafe and JC Cheesecakes!

Friday, September 29th, Escape Down Under, located in the Old Bag Factory basement will open its' doors for "Fright at the Museum"! This unique and originally designed room challenges you to stop the museum curator from bringing about the end of the world with his dark magic! We had our monthly Creative Kids on September 9th! This month, the Gift of G.A.B. debuted their artist murals entitled "Mural in Motion"! Every month during Creative Kids, they will have a local artist creating a mural in a different part of the store. The artist of this mural was Marlon Martinez.
Creative Kids is held every month on the second Saturday from 11-2. Merchants of the Old Bag Factory such as Goertzen Pottery, Legacy Home Furniture, Second Song Musical Instruments and Pop-Up Handicrafts put up an activity for kids to take part in.
