Electric
Brew, Undergrounds
Gretchen
Summers , Manager
The
Electric Brew undergrounds is a
coffee and gathering place located in the lower
level of the Old Bag Factory. The recent addition
to the complex opened its doors June 10, 2002.
The
cozy café offers shoppers a place to
perk-up with an energizing cuppa joe,
a refreshing fruit smoothie, a rich bowl of
Italian gelato ice cream or a tasty morsel from
the bakery case. Customers are welcome to dine
inside at bistro tables, lounge on the retro
sofa, or take their drinks to go as they browse
the Bag Factory. Those looking for a place to
rest their feet might enjoy a game of chess
or perusing through magazines while they sip
their drink of choice.
At
the undergrounds, options are abundant. Gourmet
coffees are brewed daily and espresso drinks
made to order. Homemade muffins, scones, biscotti,
brownies, cookies and cinnamon rolls are just
a few of the tempting selections. Lunch is served
daily from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. with a changing
menu that regularly features sandwiches or wraps,
salads, soups, pizza or a variety of other entrée
specialties.

Bulk
coffee is available by the pound or half pound
for home enjoyment. If you need it ground, we
can do that too! We feature various gift items
and world music from Putumayo as well as framed
artwork that can be purchased to complete your
home décor. Furthermore, our gift certificates,
otherwise known as Brew Bucks, are
the perfect gift for coffee drinker on your
list
The
Electric Brew, known as Goshens
original coffeehouse, was established
April 4, 1996 at 136 South Main Street by Tony
and Brenda Hostetler Kauffman. The Main Street
location has built a reputation for providing
a community gathering place where folks can
find nourishment for both body and spirit. Wanting
to find other ways in which they could serve
the community, a niche at the Old Bag Factory
deemed the perfect solution.
The
undergrounds is available Sundays
and evening hours for private gatherings.
